When you’re on vacation, you’re not home…I know…duh, right? But there comes a time when you start to miss your stuff, the things you forgot to pack, your friends, pets, even your routine. That means the vacation was a success. You’re ready, relaxed, reenergized…you’ve regrouped…you’re eager even. And now that the snow has melted, the flood waters have receded, and the mudslides have been scraped off the roads, Mr. Al and I will be heading home.
Last night, we took a cocktail and whale watching sunset cruise. It was beautiful. And lively. Gather a group of strangers together, put them in a georgous setting with several cocktails and they become fast friends. They say whales like lively humans. We humans gave them lively. They sang and breached for us.
There was a group of thirty-somethings along with us…young doctors who bonded during med school. They’d rented a big house together for a reunion. It reminded me of that movie The Big Chill, right down to some of the dialogue. Very dejavous-y. I took a series of pictures that captures their friendship. I leave you now with those…
