There are two other colorful characters who I must introduce you to before I go much further into this chronicle: Bob and Molly. That’s the whole cast of characters for this upcoming trip.
See us, above? That’s the line up. From left to right, it’s Me, Mr. Al, Molly and Bob.
We met Bob and Molly on our first cruise three years ago. This upcoming trip to Bermuda will be our FIFTH cruise together. That means that four cruises and one trip to Vegas, we still enjoy each other. (I figured that out without the help of a calculator, I’ll have you know.}
The big question is WHY are we such good friends, and the simple answer is–we just are. We just sort of hit it off. Our outlook on life and the way we like to travel and explore is so similar. We’re very positive, love being in our Happy Place, and enjoy people. Plus, we allow one another to just be who they are. In addition, we laugh a lot. We are very playful.
You could call us silly, if you’d like.
We are.
We are silly and we are very good friends…call-each-other-every-Sunday kind of friends.
It’s not as if we’re joined at the hip or anything. We allow plenty of “couple time” and “alone time.” But we also include plenty of “the four-of-us” time.
The Four Musketeers…one for all and all for one.
There are 2 more days until we fly to NYC to hook up with the ship. Al and I arrive Saturday night. Bob and Molly will get there Saturday afternoon. They’ve made plans to see their son and daughter-in-law who happen to be staying in NYC for a month. Sunday, the four of us will rendezvous just prior to boarding our boat to Bermuda.
BUT, before that, I’ve a lot to do. I’m pretty excited as well, as you can imagine.
Awwwwww, you guys really do look like a matched set. I can practically feel the good vibes from here!
