I love PJ Saturdays, especially when it’s so funky out that not even the ravens are flying. Everyone’s hunkered down. Got some lively music on to spiff up the day.
Yesterday was so different…warm, sun sightings amongst the heavily clouded skies. I’m wondering if yesterday’s weather makes today’s so much more bleak?
Most likely.
And just about 20 minutes east of us where it’s a little higher in elevation…
yes…
snow…
still.
But that’s March, isn’t it? The Lion and Lamb month and all.
So as the outside is being cleansed for spring, so to the inside. Mr. Al and I are having our tiny little pantry outfitted with drawers so we can find things. This happens Monday. Which means the weekend is all about emptying said pantry. We’ve done that…found some cans and packages so old you could consider them artifacts. Couldn’t even donate those guys.
And since the pantry is emptied, we decided it needed to be freshened up with a coat of paint. And then…one thing leads to another, doesn’t it?
I’m going to be doing a 21 day cleanse where I can’t eat any of my favorite food groups–wine, chocolate, red meat, coffee…

It will be worth it, and truth be told, after this “farewell to my faves” weekend, I’ll be ready for a break from them for a while. And the foods I can eat are some of my faves too. I love chicken and shellfish and asparagus and yummy things like that. Salmon. Yummy. Broccoli. Yay! The purpose of said cleanse? To rebalance my hormones using food. And the best thing about it? Mr. Al is doing it with me. I don’t have to go it alone. Isn’t he the best?
I leave you now with some spring chickens…
And the lovely moon, taken before the funky weather returned…
Have a great week, peeps! Going to go paint to Bob Marley, Prince and the Corrs…in my PJs.
If it’s any consolation, this is our coldest winter in over 30 years!
And it’s long too! But I’ve started to hear the little tree frogs singing. Yay!
