…and here comes August, the domain of Leo. If you enjoy riding the Celtic Wheel around the year, it’s the time for the first harvest festival, Lughnasdh or Lammas. And it looks like it’s going to be a wonderful harvest season. There’s an apple tree close to our home that is so laden with apples, the branches are bowed. I’ve never seen so many apples. (Note to self: capture image and share.)
We’ve been having magnificent weather this past week. Hot, but the breeze keeps it bearable. Unlike last year, the lawn is lush and green.
I’m taking a couple play days this upcoming week. I’ve been working hard with my book, my certification course and my business planning. I’ve been putting together a six week program called “Aging With Zest.” Lots of people lose sleep worrying about getting older. You can look at aging two ways…pushing against an inevitability, or coming to terms and embracing the role of a wise elder. My program is designed to sort through the patterns and beliefs about aging and making some zesty choices with it all….health concerns, loneliness, the whole shebang. And because, it’s my program, it’s going to be fun because I like fun and I like to share fun with others. I’ve got two lovely and brave betas lined up to play with me and test out the program. I’m hoping for a third.
Anyway, today is the last two days with my Sonshine. We’re driving down to Portland to see a concert (Modest Mouse.) Then, I will take him to the airport on Monday and back home he goes (sniff).
Did I tell you I changed the title of Book Three? It’s officially called Chaos Tamed. I will post the cover for you next week.
This week, I leave you with some of the Seattle pics I was telling you about last week (not the typical ones…everybody posts those) one of Miki enjoying my son, and some of the Mountain, who I hope to visit this week as well.
Have a great week, peeps!
And…a wolverine chillaxing…
Is that bottom picture of a badger? Look at those claws!!!
It’s a wolverine, all sprawled out there. I wouldn’t want to mess with that guy.
