It’s been a week, peeps, culminating with Mr. Al and myself selling our wares at a local fundraiser called Art in Bloom. It was a beautiful day. Met lots of the locals who were also vendors. Really lovely people, here, in this small town. Met some fellow artisans. Bought some cool things. Oh…did we sell anything? Why yes, yes Mr. Al did. I did not. But, I’ve shown enough artwork to know that’s the way it goes sometimes, so it doesn’t take away from the fun I had today. Plus, I got to bask in some complements which feels awesome.
Here’s a picture of Mr. Al manning the booth. Isn’t it a lovely venue?
I got my manuscript off to my editor. Woohoo! I’m rather pleased with the way Max and Mouse’s story turned out. And…of course there’s no rest for the weary, I’m beginning Book 4 which is entitled Vision Dreaming. Eloch and Wren will be more prominent in this one and Spider (you remember Spider, don’t you?…from book one and book two) is going to be meeting a certain blind visionary who is as lovely as she is blind.
Okay…what else happened this week? I’m working on the workshop I’m giving in August. It’s going to be fun, because it must be fun. Fun is one of my top five core values. Here’s the flier for it.
And tomorrow! My Son is visiting for Two. Whole. Weeks! You young’uns who aren’t yet parents don’t have a clue how precious you are to your parents. And why should you? You’re busy living your lives as you should be. But let me tell you, when an off-spring comes to visit, it’s bliss for a parent…for this one anyway. But I’ve got a pretty awesome off-spring, so I’m pretty stoked.
We don’t have much planned, but week one we will be hanging out in Seattle for two days and, week two, we will be going to Portland to see a Modest Mouse concert. In between will be plenty of time to chill.
I leave you wth a lovely sunset…
Awww. Hope you have a lovely two weeks with your Sonshine!
Thank you!
