I just got home from spending two days in Seattle with a dear friend who came visiting from Eureka.
Mr. Al waved me in while our dogs escorted me up the driveway. My doodle was so happy to see me she couldn’t contain herself. Ran circles around the yard.
Giddy girl.
Best home coming ever.
It was a great visit with my friend. You could call it perfect. Divided the time between hiking Mt. Rainier and hiking the Seattle streets. I keep forgetting how hilly that town is.
The past five days went from this:

To This:

It was a brief, but we managed to make the most of it…filling it with silly fun.
Want to know a fun way to get to Seattle from the South? Take the Ferry from Pt. Defiance. Have breakfast on Vashon Island. Check out the island for a little bit and then ferry on to Seattle.

Want to get to know a city? Take a food tour. Savor Seattle has several from which to choose. We loved ours. Met interesting people and learned the history of Seattle as we sampled yummy foods and signature cocktails.
Want to know another silly way to get to know Seattle? Ride the Ducks. You can sing and quack to your heart’s delight.

Didn’t do the Underground Tour this time, but I’ve done it before with Mr. Al.
And then just mosey. It’s important to leave time to mosey so you can soak up the atmosphere.
We had a beautiful day to mosey. Nice and sunny.
I leave you with some random pics of the city.
Have a great week, peeps! I’m going to be busy. Brightness Calling is back from the editor. Time to get going so we can publish on schedule…September 17th (Save the date!)

*sigh* this is the other place I miss. I’d love to live there again!
