I had a great writing session yesterday. I made one of my characters so beyond-joy-joyful and he is ready to take on the world. This guy is so ready to rock. This guy is ready to roll.
But how?
And… In what way?
This is the fun part, to me, in the life of a Pantser.
This is the stewing part.
This is where the character and I have a little sit down and we decide, together, what happens next.
Well…not really. I’m not totally bonkers and living in a padded room, you know. Never fear, I KNOW that my character isn’t going to be sitting across from me for a little chit chat, although, in this case, it’d be pretty awesome because we’re talking about Eloch, here, but I wouldn’t be chit-chatting anyway if he were sitting across from me.
I’d be drooling, and it would be totally off-putting. (Eloch would most likely be wondering why he picked me to tell his story.)
What I mean, is I’m going to take a hard look at all the possible ways Eloch can get from this point in the story to the ending of the story, while weaving in all the other story lines and characters as well.
This is me writing without typing.
This is me stewing.
And while I stew, I work on some of the other story lines, play with the dogs, the kitties, take a drive with Mr. Al, and clean the house.
Thanksgiving is right around the corner. I hope that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and if you’re not celebrating this day of gratitude with family, may you be somewhere and doing something you’re very grateful about.
I leave you with a Moose Boy
who is gazing longingly at this cute Moose Girl.
ALSO….
A Crazy Cat Lady Action Figure, complete with cats,
AND a sign that I’m not too sure about.
Have a Great Week, PEEPS! Happy Thanksgiving!
