Topic: Year of the Water Dragon
Happy New Year again! I wonder what a water dragon looks like? I bet it’s scales are in blues and greens and it shimmers when it swims. Does it fly? Most likely. In Chinese mythology, dragons have dominion over all the elements: earth, wind, fire, air and spirit. Dragons bring luck and creativity and lots of good things. I hope they wend their way to you.
Our two dogs are looking at me through the french doors that go out onto our deck. They want breakfast.
What beggars!
Jinks, the elder, has got it down to a ’T.’ He droops his ears and makes his eyes round and pitiable. If you look at him, his ears droop further. If you walk over to him he becomes a spring loaded bundle of energy and gives himself away. Spring loaded bundles of energy are more manageable with a small dog. However, Jinks is not small. Things are swept off their surfaces when he gets going.
Pearl, the black Lab’s tactics are noisier. She can’t hold still if she tried. She knows this and doesn’t try. Instead, she will sing to you and wiggle the back half of her body. If you glance in her direction, she sings louder. Her mouth forms an “O” shape and you can see a couple of her lower teeth gleaming in anticipation of breakfast.
I suppose I should feed them now.
