When you think of Seattle and the Pacific Northwest, you probably get the image of The Space Needle….and….a steaming cup of coffee….and…..rain and…..um…..right….. Mt. Rainier.

Such a commanding presence…

…imposing and grand.

Majestic.

Last weekend, Mr. Al and I took our out-of-town guests to pay our new neighbor, Rainier, a visit. We’re only 45 minutes from the park entrance. How fortunate are we? Bought a year pass, in fact, cuz we’ll be back.

And that’s all I’m gonna say about that. The pictures say enough and I wrote a lot last week.

So, take a sip of coffee, kick back and enjoy the visuals…

Have a great week, Peeps!! Oh, and Happy Father’s Day to all you wonderful Papas out there. Just think…the pleasure, the sperm, the voyage, the birth, the responsibility. There are many who don’t stay for the responsibility and we’re so very grateful for those who do. Bless you, Dad.

I was up at Sunrise (north side) yesterday. We had almost no snow last winter, and flowers and snow pack are about 5 WEEKS ahead of normal. Just warning all you out-of-towners to plan you visits a little later in the summer most years, if you are a hiker or wildflower fan! The mountain is of course stunning any time of year.
