I do. I think you can go home again. Thomas Wolfe disagreed, but perhaps his definition of “home” is different from mine.
I’m sitting in the Sacramento, CA airport waiting for my flight back to Seattle. My Peet’s cappuccino is beginning to take effect. Got croissant flakes all over my poor laptop from my egg and bacon breakfast sandwich (messy things.) I’m heading back home after visiting Eureka for a week.
I’m home in my new Washington digs, and I’m home in Eureka. Why? Because home is not a place to me.
It’s being with who and what I love.
So, I can go home and I am home. I’m filled up full with home.
It’s a nice feeling.
