I had quite the little adventure traveling back to Northern California. Long story short, the only guarantee I’d be in Eureka by my son’s birthday was to drive from the San Francisco airport. Not a fun prospect… alone…in stormy weather.
I whimpered a lot.
I whimpered more when I was shown to my rental car, a huge black van. (Really? Is that what you want me to drive?) I have to say, the hugeness and the blackness of said van got a lot of respect when I was changing lanes. However, it’s tiny van tires hydroplaned during a particularly fierce cloud burst. After which, I drove in crawl mode.
But I made it (yay!) and have been enjoying my son and my friends (yay!)
Today is Solstice and I’m traveling again. This time, back home to Mr. Al and my fur family.
Warm wishes of cozy gatherings with friends and family, my Peeps.
