Good Morning, Peeps!
I called you all “Peepsies” the other day. Mr. Al took exception to being classified as a Peepsie. And, upon further pondering of the word, “Peepsie,” I decided that it does not really include the manly, nor the masculine, nor anyone over the age of three for that matter. As a result of this thorough reflection, which I underwent, I shall be discarding the word “Peepsie” from my vocabulary unless I am referring to an individual under the age of three.
Or fairies.
I don’t think fairies would mind being called Peepsies. In point of fact, I do believe they would enjoy being called Peepsies. It would give them a good giggle. I can see them now, flying around and giggling cuz I called them Peepsies.
But not Mr. Al. No, Mr. Al is a Peep…just like the rest of you. And me. I fall under the Peep category as well.
Speaking of Mr. Al, he presented me with an early Christmas gift—software for editing movies entitled Wondershare Video Editor. It’s supposed to be a Video Editor for Dummies and that would be me. Soon(ish) I’ll be able to make little movies to my heart’s desire.
I’m expecting some trial and error and learning curve experiences in my future. But for now, I bask in the anticipation of my professional looking clips coming down the pipeline of my imagination.
I’ve reached the point of settling into our new digs where I’m realizing that there’s more to writing books, unpacking and visiting with Mr. Al. Yes, there are friends to be made. I’m a social introvert, if there is such a thing, that would be me.
Make friends or Import them. Those are my choices. Oh…I’ve a third..rekindle old friendships. Can’t forget that. I’ve two old friends who live in the area. But like me, they’ve got lives and it’s hard to coordinate. But that will happen when it happens.
But for today, I’m importing a friend from 2 ½ hours away and I’m so excited! I’ve been missing my face-to-face-shooting-the-breeze-with-a-bosom-buddy-time. And today is a beautiful day. She’s going to have an extraordinary drive with vistas of the Mountain along the way.
Speaking of vistas, when the leaves dropped enough, I discovered that I also have a vista of the Mountain out my kitchen window.
It’s actually a peek of a peak.
But nonetheless, it’s there, I’m happy.
I leave you with a peek of the peak at sunset. All rosy and glow-y. Look hard. It’s there. Don’t laugh…you’ll hurt my feelings.
And….a curiosity….What do you suppose the story is here??
Can’t see it? Here’s a close up–
HAVE A GREAT WEEK, PEEPS!
