We’ve not been doing too much other than eating pretty food. (This pretty plateful of scallops is courtesy of Chimayo. $$$ but oh-so-yummmmm.)
Strolling the streets.
Took a very relaxing train ride.
Got robbed.
The Heber train ride is a mosey-on-a-train. The rocking motion and the soft breeze can cause sleep. Just sayin.’
We went to the Park City Museum yesterday. There is a scale model cutaway view of a mining operation. Fascinating. What struck me the most wasn’t the fact that 1 in 8 minors died. No, it was the horses that were kept in there. Nearly 900 feet deep in the mines shafts. They’re treated extremely well, but never see daylight for years, if ever, poor beasties. Kitty cats are also plopped into the mines to keep the rat/mouse population down. At least the kitties have warm horses to sleep on in the chill.
Today we are going to explore the Olympic Park. We’re getting a late start, but that’s fine. We got a late start yesterday as well. Feels good not to be on any time line whatsoever.
Gorgeous meal!! Is this near Steamboat Springs? Looks a lot like it.
