Tomorrow, we head for Dinosaur Nat’l Park. We’re going to sleep there in our car so we can really explore it.
Today, we found a mountain meadow. It was perfect, complete with a frothy stream and a stand of aspen. We lingered and ate lunch and lingered some more. Then we took a drive down a well maintained gravel road that followed along a stream and breathed in the views.
I’m thinking that sleeping in the car is going to be more comfortable than this Christie Lodge bed. I’m not kidding. Our Avon accommodations were more utilitarian than comfy. But we didn’t need more than that. It had a bed (with those foam pillows that bend your neck at a 90 degree angle) and a living room with a couch and a kitchenette area so we could eat lots of leftovers…like we are tonight.
We’ll be in Park City on Monday.
Until our next chat,
I’m giving thanks for this beautiful planet of ours.

Sleep in the car?!?!? Well, in that car. Cool! Much easier when you don’t have big dogs traveling with you.

It will definitely be cozy…or we will switch to under the stars. High desert…cold but dry is the forecast. Or…maybe we won’t sleep and will just be miserable. Stay tuned!
