Sunday Character Casting

One of my favorite things to do is to scour images to find just the right people to play my characters.  I’m not the only author to do this, BTW.  I’ve seen whole Pin boards devoted to this fun activity for authors.  Perhaps I should create my own Pin board….nahhhh….that kind of stuff takes away from my writing, and I’m so easily distracted as it is.  I’m a bit like that dog in the movie…you know the one about the guy who flies away with his house using balloons?  Yeah, that’s the movie.  Can’t remember the name at the moment.  Anyway, I’m like that dog.

Maybe when I’ve finished  with PeaceKeepers Corp (PK for short), I’ll do that because it really is oh-so-fun.  At the end of the Merry Month of May.  I’m busy until then.

I’m getting excited….Mr. Al is busily designing the cover.  The prototype’s on my FaceBook page.  We’re still in Tweak Mode, so it may not end up that way.

Anyhooooo, to organize myself, I have a loose leaf binder for each of my books.  That way, I can jot things down so I won’t forget something.   Things like–

lists of secondary characters and how I spell their names, or

names of planets, and

technological items I make up like Resus Scopes.

That kind of thing.

OR….scenes I want to remember to add when and where.

Whatever I need to remember (like the name of that movie.)

Like lots of backstory information….stuff that will never make it into the finished novel but I need to know to make the story believable…the cosmology of my world.

I also put a checklist in the front for what I need in order to publish my books to Amazon.  My brain forgets from book to book. And it took me forever to get the Header/Footer thing right, so I don’t want to forget that one.  And page numbering.  You can’t have page numbering beginning at the title page, after all.  Page 1 begins with Chapter 1.

Also, in my notebook (drumroll) I cut and tape pictures of my characters!!!!
