EXPLORING THE MAGICAL AND THE MUNDANE

Memories of a second zip

Happy New Year. I’ve got a cold and am chilling. I’m also learning now to use my iPad to post blogs. Not too successfully, I might add. I wrote one and it wouldn’t post. Sigh. This is my second try and I think I’ll say it with pictures, if I can get them to post…

Fingers crossed, I shall set the stage.

As an anniversary gift, Mr. Al surprised me with a ZipLine adventure in the redwoods only 20 minutes from our home. We had such fond memories of Whistler, you see. But Whistler wasn’t a ZipLine created for tree climbing affectionatos (spelling?). This was a ZipLine adventure I shall not repeat, although I’m pretty proud of accomplishing. And I now know who to recommend it to, because they were a good group if you wanted to scale a redwood to a 3 x 3 platform where you were responsible for connecting and disconnecting yourself from the zips.

Sorry…technical difficulties….I’ll try later.

OMG! No wonder you were tempted to freak. DIY equipment? Bless us and save us.
