Give me a little time and I will remember how I posted pictures from my iPad.
We arrived at our Cushy Condo around 5:00 last night, having covered 780 miles in two days. The trip from Portland to Vancouver was more intense…more people on the road. Magellan, our GPS system wanted to keep us within the Continental United States and refused to chart a trip for us once we crossed the Canadian Border. Fortunately, our Google printouts were available and we navigated ourselves through Vancouver, thank you very much. Without those instructions, it would have been difficult. There was not a direct route and a lot of surface streets, which satisfied our curiosity of what Vancouverian Habitats were like. It was enough to know we would like to go back there and explore more fully.
To get to Whistler, we took the Sea to Sky highway. It was filled with breathtakingly beautiful vistas of not only Sea and Sky, but of mountains, valleys and towering granite cliffs with waterfalls and glaciers streaming down from mountain peaks.
And we love Whistler: Beauty. Comfort. Privacy. And….two days to chill out. We were too tired last night to really plan anything. It is supposed to rain and this morning there are more clouds than blue sky. But it’s still beautiful and, we are from Humboldt County. We get along just fine with rain. Not that we are really wanting to do more than chill and wander around Whistler Village.
The air smells great…fresh and piney. I’m off to sniff and shuffle about.
