Topic: Cupcakes
Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, so I decided to make fat free cupcakes from a fat-free brownie mix (just add fat free yogurt).
Rich? Yes, very.
Moist and Chocolatey? Yes, extremely so.
Fat Free? Yes, indeedy.
And so I shall unwrap a lovely Hershey’s Kiss and stick it right in the middle of each cupcake before I bake it.
That should do the trick, I think.
I went to sleep listening to the rain on our tin roof which reminds me of my childhood. I woke up listening to the rain, as well. It’s a cold rain. Makes me grateful for the little propane fireplace we’ve got. The cats are grateful, too. They love to stretch out long, the flames flickering light and warmth upon their shiny black pelts.
Compassion: Com = With / Passer = An Equal Step / Ion = That Action Of Compassion: The action of walking in equal step with…
I’ve been thinking about what being compassionate is all about. I can feel it when a friend is in need. It moves me to offer to help them, pick up their child from school or take them out for a cup of tea and a talk. Troubleshoot with them. Problem solve. Be a sounding board. A good listener. Whatever they need.
But what if the friend is exuberant? What if they just landed their dream job? Were offered oodles of money in advance? What if you were in their same line of work? What if you didn’t even receive a cost of living raise? What then?
Can you walk in equal step with them? Can you be compassionate enough to share their joy and their victory? Be wholeheartedly exuberant as well?
Chocolate cupcakes for thought….
